Traditional wooden cargo boats provide a regular connection between Koh Mak and Laem Ngop on the mainland. They are mainly used by local businesses and residents to transport goods, but individuals can also send items.
Boats normally leave Koh Mak in the morning (around 7:00–8:00 AM) and arrive at Laem Ngop around 11:00 AM. They stay overnight and usually depart Laem Ngop the following morning (around 10:00 AM–11:00 AM), arriving back on Koh Mak between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
If you want to send goods to the mainland, bring them to the boat the afternoon before departure, typically between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Goods coming to Koh Mak can usually be delivered to the boat on the mainland the afternoon before departure or on the morning of departure before the boat leaves. If you have a large shipment or bulky items, it is recommended to contact the boat operator in advance.
