🏝️ This game is mainly about having fun, exploring Koh Mak and discovering places you may never have noticed before. The prizes aren’t going to make anyone rich, so please play fair — but don’t be afraid to be creative. And here’s a little secret for those who actually read the rules: funny photos may earn additional points. 😉
- 🤳 You must be in your submitted photo
- 📸 The photo must clearly show the place seen in the Spot Photo. The exact angle and distance are not important, as long as we can recognize the Spot
- 🕐 Only current photos taken during the game are allowed
- 🔎 Use Google, Google Maps or AI to find Spots: allowed
- 🤫 Ask other participants: allowed, if they are kind enough to tell you
- 🤖 Use AI to put yourself into a Spot you did not actually visit: immediate disqualification 🚫
- 🗣️ Ask locals: yes! We encourage you to do so. Talk with the Koh Makians
- 🍺 Bribing a local with a beer to reveal a difficult Spot: we have no rule against excellent negotiation skills 😇
- 💰 Bribing the judges: nice try 😂
- 🕵️ Following another player around the island until they lead you to a Spot: technically clever, but please don’t be creepy. 😄
- 🔄 If your photo is rejected, you may try again while the game is still running
- ⚠️ Don’t enter private property or restricted or dangerous areas just to take a photo. Our Spots are chosen so that this is not required
- 🚫 Moving, damaging or removing anything at a Spot: immediate disqualification
- 👨⚖️ The organizers make the final decision on whether a submitted photo qualifies
- 🗺️ All Spots are on Koh Mak — or on small nearby islands no more than 1 km away. Koh Kradat is the exception: there are no Spots there. So don’t blame us if you go all the way there looking for one. 😄
- 📜 Found a clever loophole? Enjoy it while it lasts. The organizer reserves the right to invent new rules during the game. 😈
